"Sony Not in a Rush to Announce PS4"

The announcement of the Wii U during E3 did not encourage Sony to rush a
PS4 announcement.Sony Boss Jack Tretton implied that nobody should be
holding their breath for a PS4 announcement.
"I didn’t see anything about Nintendo’s announcement that said 'Oh, we’d
better get working on rolling out a new PlayStation here pretty soon.'"
Tretton told Forbes.
"What we’ve seen from the competition is trying to add features that
already exist in PlayStation 3," said Tretton. "We invested heavily in
that, we rolled a very heavy rock up a steep hill, through the launch
period. But now I think that all pays off, and we’ve got a long runway
behind it."
Tretton believes the PS3 is just now "Hitting its stride" and an
announcement shouldn't be coming anytime soon. Sony is believed to be
working on a next-generation console at this moment.
